For more than 30 years I have served children, adolescents, families, individuals, and couples as a psychotherapist. My diverse training enables me to serve my clients in various capacities: child specialist, art and play therapy techniques, parent coordinator, couple's therapist, separation or divorce coach, and co-parenting counselor.
I graduated from Saint Mary's College: Notre Dame, Indiana in 1984 with a BA in Social Work and Communications. I earned a Masters in Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1986, during which time I was awarded a Commonwealth of Virginia grant for one year of specialized training in children's mental health. I received my Collaborative Law training as a Child Specialist and separation/divorce Coach in Denver, Colorado in 2007.
I continuously explore the psychotherapy profession and expand my collaborative skills through practice, professional training, teaching co-parenting classes, and by training other practitioners. Because of my life experience divorcing without Collaborative Law and as a single parent, I deeply believe in this work.
For a detailed description of my extensive Collaborative practice training, I encourage you to visit me on the Virginia Collaborative Practice website.
